I have a bit of a personal question to ask you all:

Do any of you experience (or have experienced in the past) any measure of Gender Dysphoria?

I am looking for people to interview as part of my Medical Anthropology dissertation. FtM, MtF or intersex are all welcome. I want to understand your experience of the dysphoria, your personal definitions of gender, how your awareness of your dysphoria affected family, friends, and colleagues.... etc. etc.

This isn't some amateur psychoanalysis - anthropology looks to understand and accurately convey the true experiences of individuals. My aim is to reveal, not dismantle.

I will not begin my dissertation work for a couple of months yet, so I would like to know if you guys on my flist are willing to take part or not. If not, then I will choose a different topic for my dissertation. :)
