Clue is working on a book of her original poems and song lyrics, with accompanying illustrations from a variety of artists (of which I am one!). She gave me free reign to choose whichever of her poems inspired me, and I came across this smile-inducing, sun-shiney poem of hers called "Liberty Dances". As soon as I read it, this image instantly popped into my mind. It was a pleasure to work on. ^_^

Notes: So today was son_of_darkness's birthday party (fancy dress theme: fairytales!) and for his present, I drew this for him. :D Kye was pestering me for Merlin saves Arthur with magic, and Arthur sees! art, and... this is the first half of that I guess. :D

Just imagine that dazed, injured Arthur turns his head to look blearily at Merlin, only to stare in amazement at the glowy magic ball that he recognises from when he was rescued in the cave with the Mortius flower. He looks from the glowy ball to Merlin's intense focus on the ball, realises what this means.... and passes out from blood loss. :D

My Gift: And my totally amazing and unique Snape/Hermione gift fic was written by the incomparable florahart!!!!!! *leaps for joy* I knew it would be a big hit; I saw that it was rec'ed all over my flist. And rightly so!!!! For those who haven't read it, I highly recommend, even for those who are not very interested in the Snape/Hermione pairing, this story will make you believe it is possible. :D

I wasn't intending to go since I'm not into comics at all, but I've been told it's got lots of non-comic fandoms represented too, and that it's outrageously huge and well funded with big name special guests and stuff. I'd be kicking myself if I let such a convenient opportunity pass me by, but I'd only go if someone(s) would like to accompany me, share a room etc., visit the con events and doss around exploring the city inbetween.

Hi guys! :D So, Azkatraz. Crashing on people's floor/couch/kitchen table for a week after the con, yes yes? *blinks hopefully*

I intend to arrive on (I think) 15th July in the company of the lovely son_of_darkness, mokatiki, melusinahp and dora_the_nymph. We intend to stay at the frightfully pricey con hotel for the duration of all the fun fandomy events, which I believe end on 21st July.

Is there anyone who lives in San Fran and would be willing to let me stay with them for the week after the con? I've never been to America before, and I would love to have the opportunity to do some sight seeing and shopping with local people (LOL, local), and just generally have fun hanging out. :3

For the time being, I'm planning to stay for one week in SF after Azkatraz before heading back home to London. I haven't really thought about visiting other cities/states, and to be frank, I don't want to waste time on icky long road trips. But.... no absolute fixed plans yet, so you never know. :D It depends on who'd be willing to let me crash and do silly touristy things with me. :DDDDDD

So.... Any takers? *hopeful smile* Just to give a brief description of me: I am a teetotaler, and I eat vegetarian & seafood. I'm really a very nice house guest, I promise. :D

And my website is STILL being a giant turd and not letting me hotlink pictures - I don't know whether it's an unfixable problem or if my webmistress is just not doing anything about it (because I have asked her about this several times).

I have NOWHERE to store ANY art. EVERY SINGLE ONE of my hotlinks are BROKEN.

anthimaeria commissioned me to draw the characters from her very interesting-sounding gay-themed original novel The League of the Green Carnation. :D The novel is set in a men's college in 1900-1910 America, I believe, and I had awfully good fun with the costumes in this piece. :D I attempted to photoshop the picture to give it an old photograph look... with debateable results. xD But hey, I thought it looked neat!

wildfyre commissioned me to draw gift portraits of Peter Howe and Sevan Stephan, the actors who currently play Sam and Gimli (respectively) in the Lord of the Rings musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Tonight is the closing night of the show, which I'm sorry to hear because I went to see it 2 weeks ago (courtesy of wildfyre ♥!), and I thought it was fantastic. :D wildfyre will be presenting the portraits (framed!) to the actors after their closing show this very evening, which is awfully exciting! I hope she takes photos. :D
