Notes: So today was son_of_darkness's birthday party (fancy dress theme: fairytales!) and for his present, I drew this for him. :D Kye was pestering me for Merlin saves Arthur with magic, and Arthur sees! art, and... this is the first half of that I guess. :D

Just imagine that dazed, injured Arthur turns his head to look blearily at Merlin, only to stare in amazement at the glowy magic ball that he recognises from when he was rescued in the cave with the Mortius flower. He looks from the glowy ball to Merlin's intense focus on the ball, realises what this means.... and passes out from blood loss. :D

My Gift: And my totally amazing and unique Snape/Hermione gift fic was written by the incomparable florahart!!!!!! *leaps for joy* I knew it would be a big hit; I saw that it was rec'ed all over my flist. Notes: Another commission for the lovely jubbly melusinahp! Despite the title, this isn't chan - Harry's meant to be 17, and aroused against his will. :D I had a lot of fun working on this, and I tried out a different, softer method of colouring. Am relatively pleased with the results. :D

God, I haven't posted art since JULY. It feels good to be back in my artsy groove. :D I've also got snarry_games and smutty_claus done and dusted, but of course I can't post those yet..... :P

anthimaeria commissioned me to draw the characters from her very interesting-sounding gay-themed original novel The League of the Green Carnation. :D The novel is set in a men's college in 1900-1910 America, I believe, and I had awfully good fun with the costumes in this piece. :D I attempted to photoshop the picture to give it an old photograph look... with debateable results. xD But hey, I thought it looked neat!

Tonight is the closing night of the show, which I'm sorry to hear because I went to see it 2 weeks ago (courtesy of wildfyre ♥!), and I thought it was fantastic. :D wildfyre will be presenting the portraits (framed!) to the actors after their closing show this very evening, which is awfully exciting! I hope she takes photos. :D

This is my second foray into defying my delicate sensibilities and drawing spunk. :P Funny how it doesn't bother me in the slightest anymore.

Sibling Birthday Joy:
'Twas my little brother's 12th birthday in the weekend, and I persuaded my mum to buy him this racing video game that he's been dying for. My mother, being a high school teacher, always insists on buying him "useful" presents, but the poor boy kind of sucks at being diligent with his studies, so I stepped in.

I then took him and his friend from school to the cinema to watch, horror of horrors, Alvin & The Chipmunks.

....

90 minutes of my life that I will never get back. God, it was SO BAD. I can't even articulate how much I actually wanted to leave the cinema. xD But I must admit, the songs were dreadfully catchy, in that annoying, sticks-in-your-head-no-matter-how-much-you-hate-it way. The way that Crazy Frog or something by the Vengaboys will keep going onnn and onnn and onnn and onnn in your head when you're trying to concentrate on something.

....

Blast, now I have Aqua stuck in my head.
